Great question! Most appointments are held in my office in Dartmouth; 300 Prince Albert Rd - Suite 202 F.  In-home appointments are also available for those who prefer a more intimate experience. If you are not welcoming visitors, we can also coordinate a virtual appointment on a secure platform. 

Based on your location, an additional travel fee may apply.   Inquire here for pricing if your location is more than 20 km from my office.

Fees vary based on the service you select but are generally around $145  per hour, plus any travel fees or recommended equipment purchases.   Rates are determined based on the guidelines set out by the Nova Scotia College of Dietitians and Nutritionists, and in consideration of my unique skillset and years of experience.  Check your private health plan to see if dietitian services are covered - they often are!

In recognition of my connection to the Canadian Armed Forces, I am pleased to offer a 10% discount on my services to military members and their spouses.  

Depending on what you hope to accomplish you may want to bring along feeding tools and props you commonly use at home.  Some examples are bottles, expressed breast milk, infant formula, nipple shields, nursing pillows, pump flanges etc. 

You can pay your invoice either via Square (Debit, Visa, Mastercard, American Express) or by e-transfer.  Please plan to pay your invoice within 24-hours of your appointment time.

At the moment direct billing is not available.  Instead, you will be issued a receipt that may be put towards Registered Dietitian services on your health insurance.  If you do not have private medical coverage, all appointments are eligible to be claimed as medical expenses on your income tax.    

Make sure to ask me for a letter to provide your insurer in the instance that my services are not covered - families need access to this care and I want to make this more accessible for  you and others in the future. 

This is a tough one to answer.  Some families only need one appointment to tackle their concerns, although most benefit from one to two follow ups thereafter.  There is no obligation to book a second appointment and clinical recommendations are always individualized.
